Pisa Food And Drink Tour

If you do anything in Pisa, do this tour. The food and drinks were AMAZING (come hungry because you will eat a lot of food). Our guide Andrea, though, truly made this experience so intimate and special. She was such a kind, hilarious, and informative tour guide. We cannot recommend this tour enough!

We did this tour with Andrea. Due to the COVID we’re just the two of us so t was like a private tour! Don’t eat anything before the tour, trust me. We went to 4 different places and we eat a lot!!! We also drink a lot ;) The restaurants and bars we visited were run by local people and all of them were amazing. I comprarle recommend this tour. It worth the money

Alesssia, our tour guide, did an excelent Job. Our kids of 10 and 12 enjoyed a lot the cathedral visit thanks to her. The visit was interesting and fun at the same time. We used the headphones she gave us and we could follow her explanations loud and clear. She did the tour in an excelent Spanish, as this is the language we chose.

Guide was excellent. She was there waiting for us a good 10 minutes early. She was easy to find as had the orange notice raised high. Her English was good and she answered all the questions. The only issue we had was that it was 1st November (All Saints day) and a public holiday in Italy. As a result much of the cathedral was closed. However, she still gave a detailed explanation and had photos on her phone describing the areas of the cathedral and Pisa that we were not able to see.

We had searched and contacted many companies to arrange a private tour of Pisa for us and my teenage son. We eventually came across DiscoveryPisa. What struck me was their simple webpage with great explanations. I emailed them and Andrea responded straightaway. I would highly recommend this tour company because they really know how to value their customers. I had lots of questions and Andrea answered them so promptly as soon as I sent the email. She clearly set out options for the tour and made suggestions for making it a great day. Other companies take days to respond and we valued Andrea's prompt and very helpful responses. She gave us advise on how to get the train from Florence to Pisa. Compared to other tour companies 199 Euros including entrance tickets was amazing, Andrea took us around the city first providing excellent description of the town. Tourists just head straight to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but Andrea provided us with more in depth understanding of the area which was just brilliant. My son and us were enthralled by her excellent insight and history. She is very passionate about the area and this came across in her tour. She took time to explain about the area near the Pisa and took us to the cathedral, baptistery, cemetery and the leaning tower, She also gave excellent recommendation for lunch and provided directions back to the station. Overall Andrea was an amazing guide. I would highly recommend her and DiscoveryPisa. They really care about giving a in depth guide to the city as well as the famous leaning tower. The costs are very good compared to other companies, What stood out was how quickly they responded to questions and pulled together an itinerary and they worked with us to make our day great, Thank you for an amazing day!
