Nice hotel in the middle of a forest. You’ll love it if you like nature. However there’s no mobile phone signal, although the Wi-Fi signal was very good in the room. The room was very clean, and breakfast was adequate (typical Italian, fresh coffee and croissants and jam). No outside noise. The kids had a bunk bed in a separate area to us in the room, with a door in the middle, which was perfect. I would recommend the hotel if you want somewhere cheap and you have a car.

Location location location. Loved it as in the national park. Take a torch and have a look around after dark. We saw wild boar, and lots of eyes in the woods shining in the torchlight (animals). Staff were also very helpful at reception and in the restaurant.

I highly recommend La Sterpaia, a hidden gem near Pisa immersed in nature.

I was there with my wife and my kids and felt very welcomed by the hotel staff and manager Giuliano who gave us many useful tips regarding our trip to the city. Rooms are nice and clean and they are in a beautiful historical graded building in the middle of the San Rossore park. The ideal place for anyone looking for a lovely escape to nature near the lovely city of Pisa.
